It is a project that targets Baswa Le Meetse previous winners. It aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice on integrated water resource management. The school identifies water or sanitation challenge/s, map up possible solutions to address the identified challenge/s. School visits prior to the national adjudications are conducted to assess water and sanitation projects.
With the aim of taking the project forward, in 2017 it featured in the National Adjudications for the first time. One school from each province participated. In participation educators made Power Point presentations showing casing their success stories on how they have become the schools with best water and sanitation practices. Three best schools won prize money sponsored by Water Research Commission (WRC).
Objectives
Increase awareness of learners on issues of integrated water resource management.
Increase awareness on the importance of proper management of toilet facilities.
Promote health and hygiene awareness education.
- Promote good health practices.
